My Last Day

If today were my last day here in this life

I would tell you that I love you

I would want to know your laughter

I would want to see your eyes

I would want you to know you matter

If today was my last day on the planet

I would listen to the silence

surrounding me, I would know it fully

I would eat the foods I wanted to eat

I would be friendly to all I encountered

If today were my last day here as Harmony Green

I would take a walk and feel the sun

I would hold you so tightly and whisper in your ear

I would say Thank You for being here with me

this time around

We never know when our last day is delivered
