Should-ing on yourself again?
Should on me too, then
When you restrict yourself from the flow
You cut it off for all, you know
Should not-ing when you don't should?
Constantly donning your "cape of good"
The superhero swooping in to swiftly save
To your ego you've become a slave
Ego feeds off of and thrives in fear
and it occludes the beautiful freedom so near
The pattern repeats, it's built into your psyche
And once again, the self fulfilled prophecy
is alive and unwell
Keep feeding the dragon that keeps you captive
Makes no sense, cuz it keeps your own wings inactive
"One dream at a time, shouldn't enjoy too much joy"
"Don't be so selfish, you greedy little girl or boy"
"Live in the past, it's safer there, the future's unknown"
And it shall stay that way till that future you own
Create the future you want, let the old paradigms go
Or you'll be stuck in the mud, always the last to know
that you are alive and unwell
Drop the should, let go the should nots
Live the life you want, one life's all you've got
As the wheel of life this time is turned
Pay attention to the transformation, and all that you have learned
Free your dragon
away it will fly
And you will fly

Alive and Well
