The Depths of Me

I carry a love
inside me
Sometimes right at the surface
so close to bursting open
I am certain all can see and feel it
Wondering when it will spill out
in rainbow joy all over my
body...quivering
As I become that same
Rainbow
And you....seeing my colors arched
and misty
would smile and know
I love you

In deeper days, this love, too
dives deep
Deep into the sea of my soul
Going in for the soul revival
that can only be discovered
by delves into the depths
The depths of me

Me.....needing to blend and roll with
the changes and tides
I encounter
Here on the land, dry and constrained
by the guile of gravity
The weight too much to take on
for the heave of my body
And my love is pushed deeper
down

Diving to retrieve it
In the peace of buoyant freedom
I remember...
I am this love always
It lives inside all of the me-s I am
Surfacing, Diving, Swimming
Walking
I am always my love....I know this
again
by delving deep

Today I breach the surface
as the Rainbow
that I am
And you...seeing my colors
will share your inverted arch smile
Your eyes moving misty with tears
reflecting me...
