The past, the present, the future
all bumping into each other
All the time
We call it "now"
Where we find ourselves in this very
moment
Still life painted on the canvas
and the moment passes
You and I have known the past
the present
the future
We call it "friendship"
It can be a sonnet of love true
It can be a conversation late in the dark night
about our lives, loves and fears
It can be a time of consolation or
celebration
and.... it can be a chasm
wide and wicked
The past, the present, the future
Now I find myself

with all its moods and moments
