Harmony Green's blog! This blog highlights the music and poetic, liquid lyrics of Dan Fogelberg. I listen to a shuffled song on my iPod and write an inspired piece from that. The song is listed under 'labels' at the bottom of each entry. Enjoy!

The Edges Of Our Ages
I carry the wisdom of the ages..
my ages
perhaps yours as well
if our ages
intersected along the pathways
of the past
as the ebb and flow of the tide
brings in the foam
it covers and connects the sand
and the rocks
at the edges
we may have met on the edges of our ages
the sand and the foam
travel and traverse the same present
and the same past
for sacred, magical moments as they connect
then move away in that same moment
a cycle ancient
yet new each time they touch..
connecting
as the foam touches the sand
again
perhaps I have met you on the edges
of my ages
as we cling and cover each other completely
like the foam clings to the sand and the rock
saying hello for a moment so brief
yet, enough
to remind us
we have met on the edges of our ages...
