Harmony Green's blog! This blog highlights the music and poetic, liquid lyrics of Dan Fogelberg. I listen to a shuffled song on my iPod and write an inspired piece from that. The song is listed under 'labels' at the bottom of each entry. Enjoy!

The Collide of Souls
tomorrow morning as the sun rises
so do I
just like that fiery orb warming
from the sky
warm, I shall be as well
meeting with the hearts in which I dwell
my soul family
lives in Peoria, Illinois
we are a blend of eccentricities
with a soft center of love and joy
gathering to honor the Illinois boy
whose gifted wisdom we often employ
love when and who ya can
cry if it feels right
we are straddling the land of pretend
never look down when you are in flight
and....there is always a golden saving light
shining in the deep depths of the darkest night
tomorrow we will all converge
upon the little town on the river
to love and sing, our ills to purge
to give something back to our giver
of truth and peace and gentle warnings
my soul screams YES to tomorrow morning
cuz there is no way to say no... you see
from Texas, New Jersey or Ole Tennessee
from the county near and far and wide
these loving, loud souls will again collide
spilling love all over the place
they'll hear us sing in outer space
love when and who ya can
cry if it feels right
we are straddling the land of pretend
never look down when you are in flight
and....there is always a golden saving light
shining in the deep depths of the darkest night
