Your Heart....Poetic

"When you see the Southern Cross for the first time..."

What if you wrote a sonnet
and no one read it?
No one knew your heart
poetic
No one came to understand
the power and grace which flows
from your hands
No one fell in love while the words
tumbled from their tongues
to the ear of the one they crave
The one to whom their heart they
gave

What if the light of  the stars
was just a bit too far
away to illuminate the midnight?
Hanging o'er us, Earth's slumbered
delight
Would not the beauty of those stars
still exist?
Even if a human eye
knew them not
Down here...as grounded
astronauts

A star is a star in all its magnificence
Reflected in another's luminance
Be it witnessed
or...only known in
tales of faeries
What is true, to the heart
shall be carried

No one reads your words written
you proclaim?
Are you no one, is a star nothing
You are a star
The star, your words
We are all parts of the story, the tale
Who you are shall always prevail

Don't see it there?
Make it known
Or allow obscurity
Why always in such a hurry
by all to be understood?
Those who are meant to know
will know you
In the ways they honor and show you
that you are indeed....
seen
