After All

One man's holy
Is another man's demon
One man's belief
Is another man's excuse to hate

One man's lesson

Is another man's joke
One time down
Teaches some men to never fall
Again
Some live their lives dusting themselves off
Again and again

One man's dream
Is another man's pyre
As their fears dishonor other's dreams in fire
Burning away the evidence, the structure
But never the reality that a dream once lived

A man, a woman... must own their own holy,

their own lessons, their own dreams
They are ours alone
To own.....
after all

We, alone, are the ones
to tend
such things...

Ours
After all
