Dan Speaks today.....

Every time we speak, our words betray intentions
Insincere inventions that never quite reach the heart
 

So we turn the other cheek and gather our defenses
Again rebuild the fences that just been keeping us apart
 

Waiting out the worst, we keep the best inside us
In hopes our hearts can hide us, in hopes our tears don't show
 

And you know we're not the first to try and breach the distance
And though we meet resistance the love between us grows

Make a Wish....

Wish, hope, dream
Want, need, crave
Deserve? Allow? Accept?

          Desire, covet, intend
          Create, birth, construct
          Action? Connection? Forgive?

                   Get it? You can wish and ask and pray....
              But, when it comes along, you have to ALLOW it and ACCEPT it
                                              Cuz, yeah, you do DESERVE it

The Soul of My River

Winding swiftly through the valley, is the river of my life

Rich with life all its own, thoughts and creations I have claimed and integrated

My banks are lined with friends and family, memories of things past

Awareness of those events yet to come to me

The flow of my river is strong and fierce

then it slows to form a gentle pool of perfect stillness

The rapids have shown them selves at times, too

The mist rising from the turbulence, the most beautiful rainbows makes

My river bed is aging, yet no dryness is found

For my river flows easily into this rite of passage

Around bends and over dams

I am strong in the current of my aging river soul

My Friend, My Past

The past.....beckons and calls us.
Are we to relive, or re-examine her, or just simply allow the connection to be full and grand? Our past is a synergistic mosaic of all we have ever done, thought, felt and denied ourselves.....all we have allowed ourselves.

How do you view your past? As a gift for future movement; a stepping stone..... as a curse, as a fearful place that freezes you and steals your future? Why would you give your future away?

Today I ask you to consider building a relationship with your past and allow her to become a companion that is wise and comforting, like an ancestor or a trusted friend you seek counsel from.
No one knows you better than you do, this is so true. So, befriend yourself......become the world's foremost authority on YOU.

Your heart knows that you are unique, wise and deserving of friendship from your inner true self. Do you know this too?

Hey Buddy, can ya spare some energy?

The cycles of our lives are intertwined in many circles. Like a Spirograph picture, or string art from days passed by us, each circle becomes one with those near it, yet always its own creation as well.

We are all connected by the happenstance and chance of our lives. We seem to move from point A to point B often unaware that what we do can influence or have an effect on others, in many different ways.

Today, think of energy emanating outward from your body as you walk in the world today. As you encounter plants and animals, as well as other people, stones, mountains or molehills,  know that this energy connects to the energy of all of those other creatures and life forms.

Are you sharing the energy you want to share? Is the vibe of your intention positive or negative?
And also, know that you have choices about what you receive from others....you can make a decision to release anything that you have picked up from another earth inhabitant if it does not serve you OR THEM to carry it.

This is the message for today, be a responsible Earth Walker.......honor yourself as you set out into the world today as well as others. The balance must be maintained.

Aho, it is SO!

Devils at your Heels...

Doubting our instincts, doubting our intuition, doubting our inner wisdom.
It is difficult to live a life motivated by our inner truth, especially in a world that distracts us and tells us we are wrong at almost every turn, every interaction.
Please know,  all that really matters are your instincts, your intuition and your inner truth.
Why would we have access to these parts of our selves if they were not necessary?
The day you realize you carry the answers to all the questions about yourself, your life, your path and your purpose is the day you truly begin to live.

To Be Near Your Fire

You go away and I am lost for a little while
Missing the flames of our desire
Reaching out for you
Though you are not near me

Dreams of our forever together
wake me in the night, teasing me
Forever is not our destiny
Ours is the heat of passion burning

To be near your fire for moments or days

No fire,  no passion, no spark

Bring on the GOOD STUFF!

I awoke with this song in my head, and here it is now, again!

Today, I am allowing the good stuff to come to me in any way it sees fit. I choose to focus on this good stuff ALL day long.........this means that if some of the other stuff comes my way, I will give it any immediate attention it needs, and then move on....back to THE GOOD STUFF.

Each day brings many blessings, possibly a curse or an emergency. On THIS DAY, I am focusing on the GOOD STUFF. Yes, I just said that above.......see, it's working.....my focus is already keen. :)

The first good stuff has come to me.......this song woke me up and now it serenades me! Bring on the GOOD STUFF!!!

My eyes, awareness and expectations for today focus on all the GOOD that is coming my way!

Outnumbered or Ahead of the Curve?

Do you find yourself outnumbered often? Do you feel like others don't get you, are not on the same page ?
We sometimes we think we must change then, to fit in with these other people. I have found the opposite to be true.
If children knew that "being ahead of the curve" could be a good thing, we would have far more brilliant and secure, confident adults in this world. I wish I had learned to embrace this quality about myself in my youth.

In my practice as a Spiritual Doula and Intuitive Healer, I have, countless times, put an idea or a class or a concept out into the world before others know they need it. Really, when you process this you, you understand, that's what being an intuitive is all about....knowing what you need to do, or others who seek counsel with you are hoping to discover. "What should I do"? is the motto of many I see. Often, they are upset when i don't tell them what to do, but rather, assist them in uncovering the answers they already carry. I help them get ahead of their own curve you could say and outnumber the voices in their heads that tell them this is not true. We really are our own Sage.

My point, if I do indeed have one,(I am wondering too!) is to say, simply BE WHO YOU ARE! Spending time, energy and money to be someone else never works.....at the end of the day..............there you are, so DEAL WITH IT !

You are not outnumbered, but in fact, unique! I honor the uniqueness in you......won't you join me?

The Flow

The flow our our lives.......is this the first time we have walked here?
One life?
or many, over and over
until we get it right?

Do we ever get it all right?

What is right, what is wrong?
What is anything, really?
Is reality real?
Or simply reali-tease?

What is real to you may be
just make believe to me

I respect your reality
even if i can not understand it
Can you offer me the same
.....respect?

All we can do
is agree to...... disagree
Maybe one day
the river that flows through us all
will spill into one sea of true connection

Rain on Me?

Do you see the rain as washing you clean or drowning you?
It can wash you if you see it for what it is..... a cleanse
It can drown you if you fear change and growth

Let yourself be washed clean of the heavy toll you carry
Let the rain of change wash you anew
Perhaps you can breathe under water

For Jude.....

Owning our accomplishments can be a daunting task......but why? Often, we can praise others for reaching their goals, for allowing their dreams......yet, we keep ourselves separated from our passion, our truth or our joy.

The ego is a perplexing concept......a part of ourselves that can either push us to attain our desires or keep us so locked in fear or inadequacy that we can hardly move, we do become that scarecrow on a pole watching our own life move by ......... a slow tortured view of what we do not achieve.

I pose this question to you......if a scarecrow had a choice, if he were blessed with a single magical moment of self decisiveness, might he risk and say....."Free me from this rigid existence, let me feel the freedom of legs that move, stretch and can transport me to the bend in the road I have fantasized about for so long"?
He just may be brave enough in that single second of time, held in beautiful stillness, to look around the bend and then perhaps, he could make another decision once he views that which has called to him for so long....

Today, I ask you to make a choice that honors you and you alone........your moment has come.......release that rigid fearful tension that keeps you stuck in one place and risk!!!!!

You can do this.......

As the heavy, wet morning fog lifted
