The rain's rhythmic refrain
Washing aware my tin heart
Each tap on the tin taking my pain
Transforming it into a brand new start

I lie awake humming in harmony to the tapping
I focus on the face of the rainmaker
I am instantly freed from time's trappings
As you heal me.....pain taker

Rolling in the dirt, now mud
In the open sharing our love
My heart thunders and pounds in repeating thuds
As the rainmaker loves me from above

Drop upon me, lover
Make me wet and wild with desire
Wash me away to that place no other

Can't see the road through all this driving pain

Loss of touch can render one insane

Let the sun find within me, that tiny seed

Let me rejoice in the sprouting I see

Starter's pistol cracks the

tensioned silence

Runners push off the blocks...

nostrils flared

Crowd responds....adrenaline

The race is on

The rain falls
marking the time
Metronome to my
metered
heart felt beat

Echoing through the spaces
in the room

The rain beats down upon the
roof
The running of nature's
feet
pitter pattering
across the rooftop
Setting out another beat

The ba boom and the
pitter patter
combined in sacred measure
Takin' me away to a place
where nothing else
matters

Pretty soon I am the rain
and I am the roof
I am the sky
Deep and dark night
blue
As I lay here wet and
alive
thinking of me and you

Lost in the pitter patter
of the rain
falling
Found in the ba boom
of the room...
alone
As my memories are
calling

Rain....
wash me
clean

I have stored in my
foggy aging
