river of strolls

Tear down the walls
Tear them down
Down to the ground
We will burn the wood in a ceremonial pyre
Warm yourself beside the flames of my desire

Tear down the fears, cold as ice
The ones that keep you running in your dreams
all night
Fill the space that remains with gentle peace
Let the lifetime of running in place cease

Tear down the guilt, the anxiety of the shame
Let yourself know my love as sweet rain
Falling softly from my heart here, up high
Let the music of your long held breath
out in a slow sung sigh

The tasks of your tortured time have taken their toll
The paths of our tender time will create a river of strolls
Let the river show us the paths we are to travel
Walk them with me, your chains we will unravel

Until you find yourself fully free
Take my hand, darling.....walk with me
We will walk until your conscience stills
To the soundtrack of the crickets and the whippoorwills

Tears of joy travel down your fair face
Allow the humble healing, gather up the grace
As your fortresses fall, gently put asunder
Walk with me in the sun, the rain, the roaring thunder

Tear down the walls
Tear them down
Down to the ground
We will burn the wood in a ceremonial pyre
As we bid farewell to the past and
sing hello to our desires

Natural Heart

Set 'em up
I'll knock 'em down
After all, they're
only a decade
of fears and fortresses
false
Today I begin the
renovation
of my
life
Tear down the walls
Erect new ones
Sky lights and glass
envelope
me
My new life is
lit by
natural light

The wolf came to me
She had a song
to sing
In the night illuminated
by
the stars...
naturally
We threw our heads back
sending the
notes out in unison
"Run" she said....."it's
time"
"Trust in the place the
howl was born"

Sultry tiger came to
tell me of my
impending
mending
Healing of epic proportion
Soon I'll step away
from the misaligned
distortion
Ruins around the corner
Rebuilds around the next
bend
"Changes are your stepping
stones"....she said to
me
"it's time to traverse that line
between realities"

"Traverse it?.....no, way my
gorgeous guide"
"I'm tearing that sucker down"
I spun on my heels and
turned around
She was gone and in her place
was nothing.
Nothing to fear
Nothing in my way
Lit by natural beauty today
is me and my life calling
In love I will soon be falling
with myself, my world,
my natural
surroundings
The drum beat sending me
on....my natural heart
pounding
In my chest full
of air
natural and soaked
in
sun
Yes, it's time
Watch me run!

time for a change.....

http://www.twistedrootstudios.com

changes come with
consequence, yes
but, have you ever considered
the consequences of not
changing?

is it time for a change?

change is only flow
change is only growth
change is just a part of
life

is it time for a change?

feeling frozen in fear?
feeling less than what you
know you are?
feeling lost, or stuck?
feel yourself sinking?

is it time for a change?

hey, give it a shot
you can always change
back
but I bet you won't
once you taste the freedom
of change

changes come with
consequence, yes
but, have you ever considered
the consequences of not
changing?

 it's time for a change

The Forces of Flux

Constant as the tides of mama ocean
Just like the colors of the trees on the range
The Forces of Flux are always in motion
Things are always gonna rearrange

Life will flow in ways profound
Or in ways ever so subtle
One minute you're dropped down hard to the ground
The next floating freely in a happy bubble

It's coming, you may as well honor it
One day you are picking out the new doggie
and the next day picking up its shit
All of this dichotomy can leave you rather groggy

Go out there and manifest the life you desire....make a choice
Get off the pot... quit makin' a fuss
Could be the difference between drivin a Rolls Royce
or sitting with 50 of your closest friends on the city bus

Change is coming, embrace this fact
Befriend it and create it as you wish
Regain the things that you want back
And your fears of change shall vanish

We All Live

Our native hippie souls live deep in the pacific red woods in little green yurts
Here we assist and help other people, we feed em, we clothe em... no one ever hurts
The love grows between us, platonic and lustful, we wear no panties under our skirts
We run around wild and free, full of trust and truth, brawny men linger without shirts

Children birthed and raised as a tribe, respectful, honest.... amazing healing experts
We pen our secrets and our ways in books strewn with our magic in little excerpts
Only our secret holder knows the full his and herstory that we create in united concert
It's our purpose to teach peace again to a world  on a blind date with a Deathcon 1 alert

Yep, damn it, we all live in community in little green yurts
Communing with nature..Sitting on and being one with Mama Earth
Come, join us, get your hands dirty here with us in the dirt
And peace, serenity and condition-less love will be your just desserts

Healing Through Change?

Change.....embrace it
             for it is as constant
                                          As anything we know

The beauty of the mystery
                     it possesses
Is the key to activating its magic

In the not knowing
                                       There is much power
and.................................. peace

Can you allow
                      Change
                                To heal you?

Tear the walls down....

Again, I head into uncharted waters. Not often at all do I raise politics as a topic in my writing. HOWEVER...with the current events in Washington, as soon as I heard this song present itself....I knew we'd be goin here today.

I am integrating Native Indigenous practices into my life. I have always been drawn to Nature, the deep calling of silence and the deep knowing that we are all connected, equal and therefore all responsible for each other..... each person, plant, creature, etc. We are all on the same level and worthy of being respected.

Women in general and Gaia, our Mother Earth, are held in the highest places in Native culture. Gaia is our mother, we all came from her and are here because of her. We care for her as we would our own mother, as my friend Gene cares for his mother, completely, fully, on all levels. If we take from her endless bounty, we give back. We offer her our tobacco, our love, our commitment to continue to care for her.
If Gaia is injured, we heal her. NEVER would it even be thought of to cause injury to her of our own hands. That thought would not be honored or allowed for that matter, and not because of a law on the books, but because of the inner law of wisdom and respect. Why would a people destroy the very life that sustains them?

Women carry the ability to create life within themselves. Because of this gift and biological function, they are held in special regard within a tribe, a family, a gathering. The creators and ones who birth the future generations are cherished.

When I heard the news that the two issues standing in the way of political compromise are the environment and women's health, I was reminded how separated we truly are. How can a person own this false logic "Let's destroy the ground we walk on and the ones who bring us the future, if they so choose to. Sure, let's drill and damage and rape and pillage, and deny and destroy.....why not"?

I send healing out to the minds that believe that destroying something is in their best interest. As they line their pockets with unequaled wealth, they feel strong and mighty and in control. The sad truth is that destroying this planet, destroys us....eventually. It matters what we do to our Mother Earth or the mothers in our tribe,  because it effects us all and impacts future generations to come.

We had better change as a collective group, people.....let us tear down the fortresses that keep us separated. Let us not build walls, but rather futures where all are free to connect, roam and take in the bounty of creation, new life, new beginnings, choices and TRUST.

I stand for a woman's right to choose, a person's right to protect the land, the air and the future and the fact that we are all connected......we are all equal, and it MATTERS,  what we do to each other MATTERS.

I want to make my actions matter to the positive. And , please know:

YOU

MATTER

TO

ME.

ALL OF YOU!!!!

Aho....
