Harmony Green's blog! This blog highlights the music and poetic, liquid lyrics of Dan Fogelberg. I listen to a shuffled song on my iPod and write an inspired piece from that. The song is listed under 'labels' at the bottom of each entry. Enjoy!

The Long and Lovely Linger
My love lies living!
In the sun on the sensual
swell of the sea
On the white sand of the
waiting seashore
Where the sea makes love
long and lazy
to the land
Over and over
In waves....wet, mild
or voraciously
wild
In the moonshine
brazenly beaming in the
deep dark calm of
our most daring and
decadent
nights of passion
On the prairie
In the tall grasses swaying
seductively
in the tender breezes
Caressing their
long and lean lingering
seeded souls....
So satisfied now
My love lives in me
big and bold
Listen.... hear the beat of
my reciprocated raw
and real rebel
heart
Thumping out the bass line
of our soul song
And... soaring above the drum's
booming beat
is your voice vibrating
Tender, strong and sweet
Also singing
Heart beating
Swaying souls together....
seeded
As we sit in the moonbeam
painted night
Awaiting the sultry sun's
signal of another day
Greeting the day
we are
Wrapped up in
each other
To quell the chill of the
dew drizzled diamond
dazzling morn
For we do not wish to
miss the magic
of the beginning
of a
new day
Birthed where the horizon
traces the curves
of this orb we ride....spinning through
outer space
Inner pace matched up
in our melody
as we greet a new rise
of the Goddess Sun
A new day...ours
in all her returning splendor
This day, as all other
days birthed from the womb
of the Universe
Shall be spent in mighty celebration
of the
long and lovely linger of
Love!
