Spaceship Gaia

Self sustaining
Green and lush
Water retaining
Wind's whispered hush
Sweeping o'er the grasses
Waving the fields of wheat
As across the sun she passes
We must honor her in white wonder, complete

We are all members of Spaceship Gaia's crew
Spinning out in the vastness of space
One planet, the home of me, the home of you
This truth we must embrace

We are in this thing called life together
If she goes down, we will follow
The ship will sink, swallowed in the stormy weather
She dies..... as do our hopes of greeting tomorrow

So take your station, man your post
Take care of the place that you call home
We are being very rude to our gracious host
Keep it up, and we all die together,  alone
Accept the fact....we are all connected
by our Spaceship...we know the songs she's sung
Our mother we have cursed and rejected
Time to breathe new life into her lungs

Death bed miracles can be ours
CPR to the heart of our mama, betrayed
Are you ready to say goodbye to the stars?
Then reassess the decisions you have made
